During the fall, all 5 species of salmon return and the bear turns its attention to spawning fish, providing a high percentage of the bears yearly protein intake. Walking the banks of the many salmon choked creeks and rivers is our primary hunt method as is sitting over known feeding areas where bears have been fishing for thousands of years.

Hunting fall black bear on the west coast of Vancouver Island can truly only be described as a prehistoric experience. The majority of our fall black bear hunts are conducted from our live aboard vessel, however we do accommodate a small number of guests each year at our main lodge. Every hunter owes it to themselves to experience a fall black bear hunt on Vancouver Island at least once in their lifetime.
